Mastery Musician Educational Services aims to equip instrumental music educators with a holistic curriculum that provides their students with a step-by-step roadmap to musical mastery and assessment autonomy, which in turns develops a greater purpose within each student and their ensembles.

Mastery Musician is a complete holistic curriculum that takes a traditional “pass-off” assessment style and evolves it into a complete musicianship system for the entire ensemble. 

We provide you and your students a roadmap to mastery. Each product contains Pass-off Sheets (à la Objective Sheets) that are perfectly paced and scaffolded. The sheets are divided into Levels, and each Level prepares students for the next Level of Mastery. Small, achievable tasks on each level is the key to seeing steady progress and consistent growth in your students. The tasks include a lot more than just playing tasks; we have also included music theory, composition, literacy, terms, rhythm counting, fundamental exercises, and more! 

We also provide you with a Mastery Tracker database. Each time a student has completed a pass-off, enter it into the tracker. Students will have access to this tracker, and can keep up with their progress. They can also see how they rank amongst their peers, as our tracker keeps students in chair order based on their number of completed pass-offs.

Lastly, and most importantly, our team provides you with all the guidance necessary to implement this into your program at any time. We will teach you how to cultivate a Growth Mindset in your students, how to incorporate this into your grading system (say goodbye to playing tests!), and how to use this system to ignite intrinsic motivation within your students.  With now over 10 different programs using this system, we are confident we can provide you with every tool you need to make this a success for your students.
